1. National Day of Truth & Reconciliation / Treaty Day

Tuesday, September 30th and Wednesday, October 1st. Various times & locations.

On Tuesday, gather for an important ceremony of reflection, prayer, and remembrance, honouring survivors, their families, and those who never returned home. The next day, experience a vibrant celebration of friendship and unity with drumming, dancing, music, and Mi’kmaw culture, inviting everyone to share in heritage and community. 2. Farm Day in The City

Sunday, October 5th. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Lower Queen Street.

Celebrate the biggest Farm Day yet, with a lively outdoor market featuring over 150 vendors, fresh local food, artisan goods, and much more. Enjoy live entertainment, kids’ activities, a petting zoo, agricultural displays, a bustling beer garden, and multiple restaurant pop-ups. Al free, all day long. 3. Charlottetown Scarecrow Festival

Friday, October 3rd to Friday, October 31st. Various times and locations.

Discover dozens of whimsical scarecrows scattered through Charlottetown’s historic streets, parks, and corners. Further, explore spooky fun all month long with haunted tours, horse rides, themed drinks, tarot readings, patio sessions, and festive surprises for every age. 4. Symons Medal Presentation & Lecture w/ Miriam Toews

Friday, October 3rd. Starts at 1:00 PM. Confederation Centre.

Celebrate one of Canada’s most acclaimed writers as Miriam Toews receives the prestigious Symons Medal, awarded annually at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Author of eight bestselling novels and recipient of numerous literary awards, she will deliver a thought-provoking lecture exploring Canadian life, culture, and storytelling. 5. Enchanted: A Book Lover's Ball

Saturday, October 4th. From 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Charlottetown Library Learning Centre.

Enter a night where fantasy and storytelling collide, inspired by the viral TikTok Book Ball trend. Guests will dress in formal attire as their favourite book characters or unique creations, then enjoy an after-hours library experience with reading, connection, dancing, a cash bar, and a fantasy-inspired marketplace. Celebrate your favourite literature and meet like-minded people. Tickets are available for $60 plus tax here.
