1. Capital New Year Celebration
Wednesday, December 31st. Starts at 4:30 PM. Founders’ Food Hall.
Ring in the New Year with a lively evening filled with music, mascots, face painting, photo booths, live ice carving, warm refreshments, and high-energy performances, all leading up to a spectacular waterfront fireworks display celebrating the year ahead. 2. New Year’s Day Levee
Thursday, January 1st. Various times and locations.
Start the year with warmth, tradition, and open doors across the Island. Step into over 40 welcoming gatherings where neighbours, leaders, and friends share handshakes, conversation, and goodwill. 3. Farmers’ Market: Fire Aid Pop-Up
Wednesday, December 31st. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. PEI Farm Centre.
Support local farmers and makers as they come together for a one-day pop-up market supporting those affected by the recent fire. Shop your Farmers’ Market favourites, including fresh food and handmade goods, reconnect with familiar faces, and help keep small businesses going during a critical time by showing up and supporting local. 4. Polar Bear Dip 2026
Thursday, January 1st. Starts at 10:30 AM. Charlottetown Yacht Club.
Brave the icy waters and kick off the new year with an unforgettable plunge alongside more than 250 fellow Islanders. This long-running winter tradition (31 years and counting!) delivers adrenaline, laughter, and connection. Bring a towel, bundle up after, and start the year feeling bold, refreshed, and alive. 5. New Year’s Eve at Red Shores
Wednesday, December 31st. Starts at 6:00 PM. Red Shores Charlottetown.
Celebrate the new year in style with live harness racing, a variety of dining options, and nonstop entertainment.
