1. Sommo Festival
Saturday, September 13th and Sunday, September 14th. Starts at 12:00 PM. Cavendish Beach.
A weekend of live music, food, and drink awaits with unforgettable performances from world-class artists like Hozier, Alanis Morissette, and many more. Enjoy culinary showcases, sip from Island vendors, and take in two full days of celebration of music, food, and drink. Tickets are still available here.
2. PINEO & LOEB Alive Tour
Friday, September 12th. Starts at 10:30 PM. Baba’s Lounge.
Get ready for a high-energy night as a renowned DJ duo takes the stage with their mix of originals and remixes. With festival credits including Burning Man and Escapade, they have toured worldwide supporting acts like Deadmau5 and Steve Aoki. Special guest Novah joins as support. Cover is $15 at the door. 3. UPEI Women’s Rugby Season Opener
Saturday, September 13th. Starts at 2:00 PM. UPEI MacAdam Field.
The Panthers kick off their season with a high-stakes matchup against the Acadia Axewomen, the same squad that edged them out in last year’s AUS semifinals. After hosting U SPORTS last year, the Panthers aim to build on their legacy. Students attend free and public tickets are $10 plus tax. Get yours here.
4. Got Blues Matinee & Jam
Saturday, September 13th. From 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Salvador Dali Cafe.
The long-running Saturday matinee is back for a new season, running weekly from September to June. Each show begins with a featured performer, followed by an open electric blues jam where musicians of all levels are welcome. All ages are invited with no cover charge. Learn more here.
5. Lady Soul
Friday. September 12th. Starts at 8:00 PM. Trailside Music Hall.
A powerhouse nine-piece ensemble brings the spirit of soul and funk to life with electrifying renditions of classics by Aretha Franklin, Jackson 5, Amy Winehouse, Jully Black, and more. Expect soaring vocals, tight horns, and grooves that will keep you moving all night. Tickets are $30 plus tax here.
